The Central Oahu Orthopedic Sports and Rehabilitation Clinic on California Avenue offers outpatient therapy close to home for Wahiawa General patients and residents of Central Oahu and the North Shore.

At the Clinic, owned and operated by Wahiawa General Hospital, licensed therapists perform a wide variety of services including speech, physical, and occupational therapy for orthopedic and neurological rehabilitation.

Many injuries can benefit from physical therapy according to Chip Yamaguchi, MPT and Orthopedic Certified Specialist. "Whether a patient is recovering from a stroke, nursing an athletic injury, or working to improve communication or maintain mobility, therapy can provide a great guide for recovery," he explained. "We educate patients on how to perform exercises properly and ensure that therapy is executed and completed within an allocated time frame, according to the recommendations of the patient's physician."

With state-of-the-art rehabilitation equipment, the Clinic serves teen to geriatric patients and has recently expanded its office space. "With our speech and occupational therapy services now located next door, we can provide greater one-on-one quality care to our patients," says Yamaguchi.
