Frequently Asked Questions

1.

What are the room rates at Wahiawa General Hospital?

Room rates vary depending on the type of room you are admitted to such as an LDRP vs a private room vs a semi-private room. Since most insurance carriers cover what they consider to be the usual semi-private room rate.

2.

When do I enroll my baby on my insurance plan?

You need to notify your employer’s personnel office shortly after the birth of you baby. Most insurance plans allow you 30 days from the date of birth to enroll a newborn.

3.

Is my baby’s dad able to say overnight?

Your baby’s dad will be allowed to spend the night(s) with you as long as you are admitted on this floor.

Is a deposit required prior to admissions?

A letter outlining your self share portion will be mailed to each preadmitted patient. This individual quote will be based on your insurance coverage. It is helpful if you make a payment on the balance prior to admission.
